Ellen's simply sewing has been in business in Morpeth since 1992, in that time I have built up a lovely, ever expanding clientele. Not only doing clothing alterations for the public, but also for the major retailers in the town, Sanderson's arcade and Rutherford's.
Ellen's of Morpeth has now as of May 2021 moved into a more spacious building right in the heart of beautiful Morpeth, making it even more accessible to everyone. Disc parking to the front door, available on Whalebone lane car park C and a 20 metre walk through the old gaol yard to bridge street next to costa coffee.

Ellen's workplace is now set over 2 floors in what used to be the historic old gaol and Morpeth governors residence dated back to 1704. It has been totally refurbished and is filled with character. It is well sign posted to the white front door up a short staircase accesses the main workplace, this is where I do the necessary fitting if required and then the further machine or hand-stitched sewing work. All work is carried out by myself to the very highest standards.

Up a further short flight of stairs is Ellen's curtain room, where I can alter or make curtains to suit. Through to the large luxurious exclusive fitting room available through booking. This is the place for pampering yourself before the big occasion. Trying on that special dress or suit with a glass of bubbly available on request.
